A Sad Goodbye
My car got into an accident... without me! To the right is what I came out to last Sunday night after visiting with Jenny and Brian for a bit. It was sent flying a good 80 feet from it's original parking spot (and yes, it had the parking brake on), finally coming to rest on the curb down the road, after a driver went the wrong way on a one way street. All involved in the accident are o.k. thankfully! I must admit I was happy it was hit and not stolen as I had some rather sentimental items in my duffel bag I'd taken with for the
weekend. I'm also very grateful that Marty and I left when we did and not five minutes earlier during which time we may have been getting INTO the car at the time it was hit. Sadly, however, while we originally thought the damage was 'not all that bad,' there was structural damage which was deemed irreperable by the insurance company and thus written off. Such a sudden goodbye to my wonderful, dependable little car.... I will miss you!On another note.... to those interested, Marty and my wedding is now officially May 12th of next year, mostly due to the realization that June is a VERY hard month during which to book a wedding! Prices are (a lot) more costly and halls are booked up (much) faster. So, May it is! The wedding ceremony will take place, Lord willing, at my parents church (Ancaster CR), with Rev. Zantingh from First CR 'officiating.' The reception will hopefully take place at the Copetown Community Center which we booked this week.
