Clue #4: The drive out to Sobotec (close to Stoney Creek!) felt like one of the longest trips of my life... competeting only with the drive BACK from Sobotec! Once I got there the nervous feeling resumed (though to be truthful it never really stopped) as I thought "for sure" Marty must be here... seeing as I thought perhaps this was his unique way of having me meet him at work. I was, as I found out, quite wrong. I was directed through the metal gates ("No trespassing - Employees Only") and up the stairs, through a long hallway to an office at the very end. Here I was to knock on the door of Marty's boss' office. Marty's boss was quite welcoming and friendly (phew! I got the right office!) and asked if I had any incling of what was going on. I told him I had my suspicions and was quite eager to finally get to see Marty soon. Marty's boss then handed me my 5th rose and yet another envelope. The card inside this envelope talked about Marty's reasoning in taking me all the way to his work place. He wanted to remind me that he would always provide for me as best he could and reminded me that God would always provide for us, his children, as well. He then directed me to my last (finally!) stop before the final destination. I was to go to a place where we often went with friends, sometimes to walk, but more often to roll. I was to find the place where the gazebo stuck out into the water to find my next clue. I was off to Bayfront park!
