The Last Post of 2006

This year is quickly coming to a close, though it feels like just yesterday that we left in the wee hours of New Year's Eve day to make the LONG, tiring, LONG, icey, & LONG trek from Michigan (for a cousin's wedding on the 30th) all the way to Ottawa in order to make it on time to the party at the wonderful Joustra abode. This year, fortunately, there is far less driving and much less snow & ice (i.e. none). The upcoming year, however, promises to be much less peaceful - full of weddings (current count is 3, one of which is my own, one of which I'm part of, and one of which I just need to attend :)), moving (Marty moves to our place in February, my parents move to their new place in March, and I move in to our place in May), school placements, and graduations. All fun events for the most part - but none-the-less, quite busy. As such, I plan to enjoy the following week as I have until the 8th off, and make the most of what little time I do have to relax :). To all who read this blog, I just wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year and I hope that you all had a very blessed Christmas! Here are a few pictures of my Christmas celebrations with Marty's family.
"Mom " Speelman with the female grandbabies.

Marty's neice Rebecca with her favourite part of the gift opening process - not the gifts themselves, but the bubble wrap :).

The lone male grandchild - Owen playing with his new toys

Can you see the resemblance? Marty & his Mom :)

i think its time for the first post of 2007...remember how you were telling me that no one tags you with their blogs? Often that happens if you neglect to follow through with your tags.(hint hint)
